During the second stage of the employee performance management cycle, Ongoing Review and Feedback, managers and employees meet regularly to:

- Review progress on objectives and competencies
- Make necessary revisions to the performance learning plan
Performance management is a dynamic process. Monitoring progress on objectives should occur formally, at mid-point during the year, and informally, through continuous appropriate feedback and discussion, throughout the year.
The Ongoing Review and Feedback stage offers an opportunity to reinforce desirable behaviours, modify unwanted behaviours, and provide feedback and coaching on ways to enhance performance.
